I hope I have enough "street cred" to do this for you, Here are the 9 numbers the website generated (parameters of 1885 to 2025, choosing 9 numbers, Dupe = False)

2017 1904 2013 1948 1926 1902 1891 1924 2003

1. Catcher - 2017
2. First Base - 1904
3. Second Base - 2013
4. Third Base - 1948
5. Shortstop - 1926
6. Outfield - 1902
7. Utility Players - 1891
8. Pitchers - 1924
9. Pitchers - 2003

If you want to re-roll anything I trust you enough to allow you to to do it, but I can also do it, I might need instructions though (guessing I type in same years as parameters, but just have it generate 1 random number instead of 9?)

Can the back up player at for instance 3b, be from the same year but have less than 20 games at 3b? I have 1975 Pete Rose at 3b and would like to use a 1975 player who is 3b eligible but didn’t have 20 games there as my back up 3b instead of someone from my utility year. He’s a $234,000.

Assuming you have One Player at 3B with 20 Games (Primary Position) or more then there is nothing in the Rules stating that you may not although it may be interpreted that all must have 20 Games there ...

I would therefore say Yes you may use Pete Rose at 3b

Pete had 137 games at 3b in 1975 my 3b random year. i just went with a guy to back him up from my utility year. That’s easier than pushing the envelope. This is a great theme and appreciate you running it.
