I have a 2nd team ready to go, but I might start tinkering with some of these unclaimed powerhouses I assumed would be taken. You guys better make you claims before the 2nd team window opens...

Certainly, some great options.

My short list would be: Oklahoma, Georgia. Notre Dame, Texas Tech, Louisville. Michigan State. Cal. Michigan. Ole Miss.

Not really a short list! Get in, claim your school here, and we can assist with your questions. No reps or rosters are needed when you claim the school. You start building in NFL29129.

Awesome. Official welcome to bruinsfan911 and the Boston College Eagles!

I'm not sure if it's user error or just the fact that most BC Eagles just get a cup of coffee and then are out of the league, but I am currently struggling to find enough alumni that show up in the WIS database....I have all the starting spots filled but need 4 additional players and everyone I search for is giving me the "No (insert position here) found. Please modify your search criteria and try again" message

What positions are you lacking the minimum amount? We can help. Kicker and punter can be whatever you want if there are no alumni available.

I can send a list of names for each position via sitemail.

BC is a challenge. You would need Chmura and Mitchell at TE. Brennan and Stratford and another wideout. There is 1 more I’m missing (on my phone can’t cross check). Dillon and Green at RB. But Romanowski would be on some great Defs.

You could change your pick if you want something less challenging too. Arizona had this challenge but still made the playoffs last season.

WR Zay Flowers. OL Ron Stone connects with 90s Cowboys run. Still might be better option. You need excellent OL and Def ratings with less playmakers to choose from. You do have a kicker and punter available.

I changed my mind.

I'll choose the Texas Field Equipment Homesteaders (otherwise known as The Aggies).

So, who do you suggest?
I saw your link but unfortunately it doesn't organize them based on positions.

I have all of the minimums met, but when I look for guys to add for the "5 additional players" I'm not finding a lot.

Let me take a look. I’ll follow up.

I see the path here for BC. A really good team. I will sitemail to you later today the full roster that I see is available. Plentiful RBs to offset QB Matt Ryan and enough TEs and WRs. BC is legit.

welcome winnerpeg. Texas A&M Aggies are yours.

Without looking:

The core of QB Ryan Tannehill. WR Mike Evans. Any of the Bronco Defs that LB Von Miller played for. TE Martellus Bennett.

Texas A&M Aggies: WR Albert Connell. RB Curtis Dickey RB Earnest Jackson LB Myles Garrett CB Lester Hayes WR Christian Kirk

Lots of inventory here.

when you type in the other names on pro football reference, it states their position.

Just Sitemailed you...I have a roster in mind, but not finding some of the guys in the database. I'll play around with it between now and when you have a chance to answer.

I sitemailed some thoughts.

Saw a few more nice finds:

RB Mike Holovak and WR Art Graham. Great ratings for the money to fill out the roster.

Boston College has joined the league. Texas A&M Aggies are working on a team.

Be the next to claim a school. No question is a dumb question here.

For the group positions (OL, DEF/SP), is having been drafted by a team sufficient or do they need to have played at least whatever amount of games in the NFL to qualify for choosing their teammates?
ESPN doesn't provide stats for OL players, so how do we know which seasons they played for which NFL teams?

Being drafted is not a requirement for your alumni to be rostered. There are probably some good free agents that played for the Aggies and appear in the WIS database. OL and Def are not too difficult to find your connective player to the units you want.

For special teams, you can normally find a WR or DB or CB that returned kicks or punts. When you are on the AFL/NFL stats for the Aggies historically, you can click on the names, then scroll down to kick/punt return stats and it will show if they have stats, this makes those units eligible. Make a list of those units when clicking through your college players, then you check in WIS for the best ST fit for you. Some schools with less options have to start digging for new age stats (in pro football reference) since 2011 of special teams percentage on the NFL players profile for those OL, LB, DT, DE that played on special teams. It is at the bottom of modern players profile since 2011.

Also of note, many times, the savvy vets in Sim Football disregard Special Teams and look for the cheapest unit, so we can spend elsewhere on the roster. Similar thing with kickers and punters. I have spent a little money on kickers at times, but almost never on Special Teams or punters.

We use pro football reference. It has everything to make the roster build easier.

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/schools/texasam/?__hstc=213859787.4863ff46fbcf0df34f4c263f32afcb98.1768877497481.1773490818816.1773495135744.12&__hssc=213859787.4.1773537482035&__hsfp=0ab8802b0fc1a404eddc98deceec089f

Once on this webpage, click on Pos in the middle left. This will group by position. Just saw RB De'Von Achane at the top of the list. A nice 2025 season I'm guessing in WIS to be had.
