Alums II: Select a school. 7 left. NFL29129. Topic

Interestingly enough, both Iowa and Iowa State are on a short list of teams playing in stadiums named after former players. ISU Plays in Jack Trice Stadium, named for the schools first black player, who died as a result of injuries suffered in his first varsity game.

We love the pageantry of college football history. I bet you do as well. Have yours. Claim a team. We help you the build the team if you choose. Sitemail me or the other owners with any questions. Alma mater matters. Who is next to join us!

Previous page 4 has a list of some of the schools not used before with suggestive players. But there are many other schools available.

You can also use any of these dropped schools below from Alums I (5 of which made the postseason):

Schools dropped/not keepers available now: Illinois (made playoffs), Stanford, Purdue (made playoffs), Wisconsin (made playoffs). Oregon. Washington. Notre Dame. Georgia. BYU. Pittsburgh. Baylor. Arizona (made playoffs). Oklahoma. Cincinnati. Michigan.

Fine.
I'll choose the WNBA's best player's and the FIBA women's 2026 basketball qualifier's best player's home university's football team:

OL = 2024 Baltimore Ravens: C Tyler Lindenbaum
SP = 2023 New York Jets: DL David Onyemata (from MY University of Manitoba, Canada), Hall, Wilson, & Heflin
K = Nate Kaeding
P = Reggie Roby
D = 1949 New York Giants: Dunnell, Coates, Duden, Cannady, Royston, White, Coulter, Poole, Roberts, Greenhaigh, Scott, Ettinger, Baker, Mullins, & Mallouf

But give me a day or two to compile the rest of this team please.
I've done sufficient research on it so I'll stay.
Oops, accidentally posted the above in the wrong section of WIS.

Claiming INSTATE RIVAL, UNIVERSITY OF IOWA HAWKEYES.
Wait, isn't it disallowable to choose a team in the same state/division as your other team choice?
Because what's preferable is keeping them in the game's same division.
Nato, sorry, only noticed your choice after I decided on them, but I see I was a day or 2 late doing so.
Looks like we chose everything the same in the 5 categories except for the SP and D. ;)

IOWA REPS
OL 24 RAVENS C TYLER LINDERBAUM
DEF 24 EAGLES SB PICK 6 HIMSELF, DB COOPER DEJEAN
ST 02 ARIZONA CARDINALS WR KEVIN KASPER
P REGGIE ROBY
K NATE KAEDING
winnerpeg- love the selection, but nato6869 picked Iowa yesterday per the above. Maybe Michigan state or Minnesota might be a fun build.

Gophers have nothing at QB. How about you lock down TX! Either with Texas or Texas Tech or SMU? I know the first 2 are very workable. Bill Dewell is a sneaky nice TE for SMU. He is listed as an End. The Mustangs are very workable with McCown and Dandy Don Meredith at QB. Very nice WRs too.

Add Oklahoma State too. Too bad Tyreek Hill is West Alabama I think. But Dez Bryant Barry Sanders and others. You would have to platoon QBs maybe.

I've decided my 2nd team will be what I first desired:

Goff's University of California (I do NOT want Aaron Rodgers, unless as a cheap backup lol)

I don't have time for at least a day I'm guessing to get this draft done. Already removed all my Iowa picks.

Awesome. Take your time to get the roster perfect for you. Excited to see how Jared Goff does.

Welcome to winnerpeg and the Cal Bears!

The punter is Nick Harris.

FYI to those watching: We do check the full roster of each team on their players and units (connective player rep) to ensure it’s within the alumni eligibility. Transfers to a 2nd school where they finish the college career are the most common thing to be corrected. The OL and ST reps will also need to be changed here. OL rep belongs to another school. Punters have their own position like TE. Punters aren’t part of the ST unit in WiS like TE with regard to OLs. I’ll sitemail this one soon to winnerpeg. I see DeCoud but no one named Peters, but you only need 1 qualifying player.

the cross-checks are in bunches as we get close to capacity. I sitemail on any edits needed.

I was being goofy with the punter's name.

Though I wasn't aware of any other errors:
- since when are punters not considered part of Special Teams?
- didn't know Mr Toogood (funny last name) didn't graduate with the University of California

Please remove my 2nd team entry.
My 1st team will suffice.
