Say my SS slot is 1980 and my utility slot is 1940. Can I take both a starter and his sub from 1980 or does the sub have to be from 1940? Conversely, can I take both a starter and his sub from 1940 and nobody from 1980?

yes on scenario one. no on scenario two. Sub would have to be 1980 and at least 20 GS

The only requirement (Primary Position) is you have a 1980 SS with 20 Games Played at SS ...

A for instance i think of instantly at SS 1892 Frank Shugart (134 Games at SS) Played 2 Games at Catcher D-/A/A (.876/6.69) with Performance History 153 Usages and CS PCT 0.31
