I would vote for Bashear in a second. I do not want Newsome. I think he is juvenile and not sufficiently principled. He also is not a great navigator.

I see potential in AOC. She does actually support the existence of Israel and as a Jewish state. She is more centrist than is the perception. She is a good navigator and I will have an open mind for her.

Good stuff. I did give him more credit than he deserved. When he agreed to join the administration it had to be for 1 of 2 reasons and I picked the wrong reason to my great disappointment. He turned out to be just another Lindsey Graham.

I never bought a Madonna album but I did get the single Borderline when it came out. I still like that song. She was actually sold in the really hip new wave punk and edgy rock and roll stores when she started out.

I will also admit to a great fondness for the song Toxic by Brittany Spears. To me it is a great modern rock and roll song.

Soon people across the country will be voting with mail in ballots. Early September in some states.
I would be surprised if there is not a huge splash of extra voting because of the sense of danger so many people feel including possible voter suppression later.

I cannot imagine that there will be a corresponding attitude of I need to vote from maggots.

This year Dems will vote out of fear of the status quo and of impending doom should the maggots not be defeated.

I remain in favor of the war with Iran. If we had a president it would have been approved and we would have strong allies involved and congressional approval.

I am a big believer in studying history and understanding the cultural and sociological factors in what makes certain countries tick. As an aside Trump has unfortunately changed the DNA of our country into a brain damaged mess.

Anyways Iran is different than Iraq. Leaving the presidential lies aside Iraq never had the serious conventional war capabilities. Not even close.

Even though it now appears that Iran did not have a threshold nearness to reaching the enrichment level it is too damned close. Iran is 1000 times more dangerous than North Korea. We should not wait to the last second with Iran. That would be a recipe for disaster. Doing nothing at this point eould be appeasement. Thanks to Trump in 2018 we are we are but because of his monumental and colossal mistake we must go to war against Iran.

The problem that once again he has dealt with something needed to be in such a wrong way that he has brought our country to its knees and endangered the whole world.

If we only had a president who could get something right. The only thing he has ever done was to seal the border after preventing the Biden administration from doing it ( in a far better way ) and snatched victory from defeat. That is the best he can ever do.

So we may not succeed in Iran and we need to. He is responsible for making the war inevitable when that should have never have happened and he is failing in his prosecution of the war and causing world wide conflagration and death and destruction of the economic well being of the world.

Very bad stuff because of a sick and crazy madman and a sick and crazy administration.

At the rate things are going we might get out without achieving the major existential objective and then he will lie and say mission accomplished.

Sherlock Trump and the Case of the Imaginary Productive Talks

1 so many times he claimed very productive peace talks between Ukraine and Russia - never existed

2. so many times claimed peace was at hand between Hamas and Israel - never existed. Cease fire yes but but claims of 2 state solution plan - never despite all of the false proclamations and propaganda.
There were only talks between Trump and Jared.

3. now he talks of productive talks with Iran. So he stops bombing energy sectors. Except Iran says none exist at any level ( except maybe between stenographers) and Trump backed down.

The productive talk lies have gotten old.

But the Dow is up 900 and that was the reason for being in the first place.

Why is it that most of the Maga are religious fundamentalists. I know why but I won’t say. It does take a certain mentality and fake religion to think he is a good person. Fake religion is not fake news.
