Don't remember seeing the "ask" for users to test the app
Was it by invitation only?

They also have a discord channel that was able to provide quick and immediate feedback:

https://discord.gg/MfeDdPKB

im sure the more people there to give feedback the better.

I do encourage people to really play around with the app too. Somethings are just different and I’ve been used to doing it one way on th browser for 20 years, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s better. The more I’ve used it, the more fun I had with a lot of the features. Still a lot of tweaking needed (one of biggest things I pressed was the way stats are presented on app make it hard to deep dive. That’s one thing most of us have in common is desire to be able to dive deep into stats and comparisons and right now it’s no debate there’s better options on the mobile website than the app. They’re aware of that and working on ways to improve the functionality

Hopefully everyone saw this update from today:
Credits can now be used for up to 50% of any purchase. One thing we wanted to make sure everyone knew before this goes live is that we’ve added a few important exceptions:

Theme league creator credits
HBD commissioner credits
Gift certificates

We heard the feedback and it was important to us to include exemptions for league creators and organizers. The above credits will not be subject to the cap.

Some other cool stuff in the post this morning:

SLB Android App

We’ve heard the feedback loud and clear on Android and we moved quickly to get this done.

The SimLeague Baseball Android app is ready, in testing, and it will be coming live very soon.

We know a lot of you have been waiting on this. It’s almost here.

Opening Day Promo (SLB + HBD)

We wanted to have some fun with this one.

There are 12 MLB games across Wednesday and Thursday. We’re taking the total number of home runs hit across all 12 games and turning that into a discount.

So if there are 42 home runs… you get 42% off SLB and HBD.

Promo runs: Friday (March 27) through Wednesday (April 1) and applies to SimLeague Baseball + Hardball Dynasty.

We know there’s been a lot going on lately, and we really do appreciate everyone who’s been part of this community whether you’ve been here 20 years or just signed up last week.

We’ve only been at this for about a year of WhatIfSports’ 25+ year run, but we’re pushing to improve things and move faster than the site has in a long time. A lot more to come!

Late to the party and just saw this. Read through the entire thread and agree with all the points. The biggest question I have is why? If you are going to say "For most users this will not change anything - the vast majority of purchases already fall within that range", then why make the change? Also agree with the sentiment of that this will affect your some of your top owners and contributors to the site. Why alienate your top contributors to the site for no real reason.

I don't really understand the financial part either. 06gsp made a great point with "So if you are regularly spending money on teams, you will still spend the same amount of money after this change." and explained it the details more. But the flip side for this scenario is also true - the revenue brought in for WiS over this time is also the same. So why make the change?

Just4me did a great breakdown on the potential margins and different scenarios for these margins. Just4me also made a great point that these credits pre-date the new ownership. That means the new ownership now faces the liability of these credits without the benefit of the sales that came with these credits. That being said, this should not have been a surprise to the new ownership. Any of these details should have been disclosed before the sale of the site.

I also understand wanting to reduce the amount of these previous owner credits. But if these credits were such a liability to the site, wouldn't you want to spread that liability over the longest time period possible? With everyone redeeming the credits now, the margin for leagues in the near future have to be terrible.

I really don't understand what WiS was trying to accomplish with this change.

Well questioned! I don't either. And as I don't win much, I'm not personally effected. I still think it's a crazy new policy.
