Additionally, I hope that the powers that be that run the WhatIF Championship will see this tournament and realize they don't have to make the themes unnecessarily rigid and obscure. Even in this format, I didn't feel like the teams were that duplicative of one another.

That is true. Although I did try to build several power teams to go against the usual Deadball setup that you often see. Failed at it by the way. lol. Congrats on winner the tourney disco.

Since ozomatli hasn't exactly been on top of updates, and since the league standings and playoff results will disappear in a few days, I did an unofficial calculation of playoff points and final standings. Unofficially the final standings of the top 9 are:
