I know a lot of people are frustrated with WIS right now...but if you're gonna go out, why not go out with a bang. We had fun coming up with the themes this year. Are they perfect? Definitely not. Will they be fun, and challenge us in different ways? Absolutely.

Round 1 of the annual WISC has been my favorite part of this site since at least 2008...if you're a newbie or a vet, I hope you'll join us.

I'm certainly psyched for it.

Any way you can leak at least one of the themes? I'm champing at the bit to start building teams.

Against my better judgement, I'm in again.

I’ve got a final draft out to the group. Looking for a couple more thumbs up and then we can post.

Admin has confirmed they’ll contribute $300 to the prize pool again, so I’ll try to get the prize section updated by tonight.

Not sure if Ozomatli will be doubling the prizes this year, though.

I apologize for my part in the delay in getting these themes together. I was just really busy there for a couple of weeks and slow with my feedback and ideas. As always, it’s impossible to please every one as we all have different likes.

But to tease barracuda a little - one of the themes is a twist league that redcped came up with. Now, I have played a lot of twist leagues (a lot of every type of league to be honest) but I have never seen a variation like this. I’m interested in seeing how it goes.
