I could have sworn there was a thread with a running count of participants and a schedule of when things would get rolling. Did that get temporarily taken down or am I blind?

You're referring to the signup thread, which is in the League Classifieds forum, not here. It shows the running count of owners and the deadlines.

That will be a few weeks. I have to finish all my teams and get them checked by a non- participating owner. Then I have to check the other commissioners’ teams. Then we can start the leagues. I’m going on vacation later in May and I suspect I won’t get to this point until closer to the first deadline.
