Not a fan of the new way of using accumulated points for a season. No matter what it's still 6.95 a season? Have $16.00 in credits you used reward points to purchase? Yup, still $6.95...
It used to work out that winning a league got a free season, starting a league also got a free season. Now it's a $5.00 credit for 750 points, but you can't use all the $ credits that were purchased with the points. Like they're capped? I could have 20.00 in $ credits i bought with points. However, I go to play a $12.95 season and still have to pay $6.95, even though my cash credits can cover the cost. Not cool. Who bought the sim and ruined it? All the ads in the forums not covering costs?

I agree. It's pretty messed up. If anything, it will decrease the number of participants in the SIM games.

Yeah, I thought this new rule only applied when buying the 6-pack with the free team discount. I just tried to use the credits I got for winning a championship to buy a single team, and I'm being asked for $6.95? This isn't fun.

Worse yet! It's a suicidal business move! The beginning of the end to WIS Baseball!

I thought league founders would get full credit.

It's a bunch of caca.

The new ownership must be hurting for operating cash. That's the best I can come up with.

Thankfully the founder credits aren't capped, but the credits you get for playoff teams are.

It's quite disappointing as someone who's actively played regularly on this site for almost 18 years.

They do, I just checked.

I have no idea why people are saying they don't.

Removing the incentive for credit-whoring is one of the best things that's happened to this site in years. It might encourage owners to try progressives and other non-standard leagues rather than just entering the same cookies in every open league or unrestricted league.

And to coachgreat's point, yeah they need cash, a large numbers of owners on Sim Baseball are playing for free and have for years, it does not strike me as a profitable way to run a business to allow users to participate at no charge. If they want to make the improvements we've all asked for, that requires hiring developers, who need to be paid, and that money has to come from somewhere.

Also, if you are regularly paying for teams, this change doesn't affect you at all, rather than getting one team free and then paying full price for the next team, you instead get two teams at 50% off each, so your net spend is the same.
