Just went to use reward credits towards purchasing a 6-pack and see they are now capped at 50% of the sale? This is the most absurd thing I've seen yet. Great way to drive more people away.

I have 30.00 in unused credits plus rewards points that will never be used. What are we playing for, a 50% off coupon on a new season? That's about what it amounts to.

They give you award money towards free teams and then they treat if it is income and apply a 50% tax deduction for it. Like the IRS.

Yea, you only get half of your "rebate" at a time. So, it's like you have to file twice with the IRS to get all your "rebate" but...........hey it's only another purchase.
No big deal.
Tell that to someone else. My little brain can't comprehend the logic to be user friendly!
Causes me unwanted stress just thinking about it.
Things should be logical dammit!!!

Where's me pills............

yes, it's bad for the site when a sizable portion of the user base is able to play for free, particularly when such users only join leagues that give them a strong opportunity in the TOC.

i found it very amusing to see one owner complaining about how this change no longer gives him the incentive to run the exact same roster in every TOC advantage league, yeah no **** that's the entire point of it. it's hugely off-putting for new users to start joining leagues and seeing the same cookies used by the winning owners. i know i paid for one Sim Hockey team, saw everyone using the same players, and never paid for another team, and i'm sure the same has happened for many in Sim Baseball.

not to mention they are actually making significant upgrades to the site. there's an app, live play is coming back, they've apparently made long-awaited upgrades to Hardball Dynasty, and they're re-hiring some of the original developers to help them update the code. this is all great news.

the thing is though, all that requires cash coming in the door. so if you're unwilling to ever pay for this site again then you can't complain at all when the site management does not cater to your whims.

I'll believe all those upgrades when I see them.

Until then, I shouldn't have to pay extra for being a loyal customer for 20+ years.
