A couple of movies I saw during the weekend.

1. Obsession - it opened on May 15 and now has a 380M box office. Only 750k budget. That is obviously very very rare. It is about as unique of a horror movie as has ever been made. It is super terrifying in an intelligent way. Not a slasher. It is a psychological terror. And weird. Scarily weird. Deep soul crunching weird strange unusual horror.

2. Supergirl. One of the better superhero films. Limited plot. Not about saving the universe despite the misleading trailer. It is an adventure reminding me of a a good way back in the day one issue comic book story This new James Gunn Superman universe is 2/2. 2027 will have a new Superman movie - the third installment. Supergirl is sexy, spunky and very human. And there is Krypto.
So far so good by James Gunn.

I’d like to see an immediate reboot to come out later today of Trading Places starring Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump.

About 7 million Germans ( excluding Jews ) were killed in WW2. About 1.5 million were civilians.

5. Iran - he ruined it all and started a war which he lost and in the course of which has shown even some of his base how he lies about everything. Some eyes have been opened. Because of him there is economic chaos and they will get the nuke.

6. Promoting good values as a leader of the great nation. Failed on purpose. We are in a quicksand made of shiit.

7. Economic Inequity - the worst ever and ever and getting worse. The rise of the democratic socialists are a direct response to him. Thank you Trump.

8. Farmers - He has brought them to their knees. Some of them a lot of them are too stupid to even fight back.

9. Corruption - He made tea pot dome into a tea party of dainty little girls. The worst corruption of a democracy since the first democracy. We are a disgrace.

10. Immigration - we are no longer the melting pot and we are hated and despised all around the world and we are losing talent from other countries. It is like the Wembys and Hakeems etc going to play in Europe instead. Canada getting stronger.

11. Respect around the world - we are the joke and hated and mocked and the enemy even among former allies.

But imo it is wrong to say that we lost the Vietnam War.

First of all South Vietnam lost the war. We lost our objective of stopping North Vietnam from taking over the country.

Secondly, We lost 57,000 men. The North Vietnamese had way more than 1 million killed. And overwhelming injuries. The war had to stop because the only way that the North was going to ultimately lose was if the “entire” country was destroyed. There would have been so many more South Vietnamese killed for it to happen that it just could not go on.

Of course the USA could have completely destroyed the North cities but China would have done the same to the South.

It was a conflict that had to end to preserve the flagging life of the country.

To me the puzzle is how much is deliberate lies or how much is delusion and self deception and how much is evil and what percentage is mental illness ?
