Climbed atop the standings just in time for my first 1-5 session. It was bound to happen. And at least it wasn’t a mauch.
And closed out the first 6th with my first schwarze. Yay!

No schwarze for me this time around.... my 80m team is a ball and chain.... only 6 wins in 27 games

So we are done the first 1/6 of the championship

My teams have already had six win streaks of 5 games or longer and four losing streaks of 6 games or longer.

Standings have now been rolled to the 2nd set of 162 games.

Congrats to MJDSupporter, who went 98-64 in the first set to take the early lead by one over super commish redcped. Tied for 3rd were jmissirlis and emanes10.

The edge of "the cage" (the term for the top 24 owners, who advance to the 2nd round of competition this fall, for newbies) was 86-76, shared by toysboys, snuffy45, odalisgagne, bbarrett, and beauchamp.

Still plenty of time to make your move and climb the standings. Good luck to all!

Thanks for keeping those standings rolling.

It's my pleasure!

I just faced a mopup man who came in at 60%, threw 140+ pitches and gave up 20 runs, exhausting my lineup. How does that happen with injuries on?
7/10/2026 8:12 AM
I had a similar experience the other day. I thought when there was a rout like that it didn't exhaust your lineup?

My understanding is that individual game PAs stop counting towards fatigue after 6. I read it was implemented because people would start a mop up in game 1 of the playoffs, completely exhaust the opponent's offence, then rack up 3 quick wins.

It's a neat feature but it can actually be detrimental if you have the "Rest players if winning by __ or more runs in the __ or later" checked. By the time that condition kicks in, your starters probably already have 6 PA and won't accrue any more fatigue but this will trigger them to be replaced with bench players who will rack up unnecessary PAs.

Game of the tournament for me so far happened today in the PM round.

In the HR league, we had been nursing a 4-3 lead since the 5th inning. Closer Luke Weaver got 2 quick outs then walks Javy Baez. WHUT?!?! "Walks Javy Baez" is rarer than "President Trump had no comment!" How the heck do you walk Baez?!

Better yet, reliever Jeff Shaw follows with a double to drive him in. NNNOOOO!! We fail to score in the bottom of the 9th so to extras we go.

Weaver has been untouchable (til today), with 8 saves, a sub-2.00 ERA, and a 0.77 WHIP. He had only allowed a run in 1 of his 12 appearances so far. I set him up as my closer right out of the gate and gave him a bigger pitch count since he was a starter in the 2019 season I chose. It's worked great!

Top of the 10th: 2 singles, 2 walks, no outs. He's out and the next guy gives up 2 more singles and a sac fly so that all 4 of Weaver's runners cross the plate. 4 singles in 1 inning?! I thought this was a home run league?!

Bottom of the 10th: 3 singles of our own + 2 walks make it 8-6 with the bases loaded and only 1 out. Pujols ties the game 8-8 with another single!

Then Harmon Killebrew hits a 3-run walk-off bomb and we win 11-8!! It was 4-4 after 9 innings, but we beat 'em 7-4 in the 10th alone!!

I think someone else had the same beef with 1908 Ed Walsh in the SIM. I reluctantly included him on my 140 million team and was thrilled to have him on my 100 million team. Things have not gone as planned. My 140 version is 8 - 2 with a 1.98 era 1.18 whip. My 100 version facing much weaker batters is 4 -8, 5.09 era 1.53 whip. Go figure!

I have the same problem with some starters that should dominate at the cap they're playing but they're struggling
