Many more details coming soon, but you have 3 chances to join the "Official league of the HBD Discord" that is by far the youngest non-merger league on WIS right now. Open teams are as follows:
  • Former New York (NL)
  • Former Florida (in NLE)
  • Former Vancouver
We have a 55-win MWR that is enforced via a Draft Lottery that is conducted off-site and then recreated by WIS Staff following the rollover.

Down to 2 openings! Here's a little more on the league itself and why this is such a unique opportunity for your HBD experience:
  • The blog is one of the most active I've seen, and covers topics from player backstories to statistical analysis
  • The Discord channel associated with the league is VERY active and creates a great camaraderie with your fellow owners
  • This is the youngest HBD world, by a fair margin...so it's as close to a "clean slate" as you're going to get
  • The worst records in the league get the best odds in our draft lottery, which is then implemented by WIS staff upon completion. HOWEVER, if you miss the 55 win MWR, there are limitations on how high your pick can be.
  • We have a number of original owners that are still with us as we embark on Season 7.
Now a little bit more about the teams that you can choose from:
  • Former Vancouver has quite a bit of financial flexibility (only six guys making $1M or more this year) as well at the #7 pick in the draft. They also have a pretty young core, with the top three players on the roster by OVR checking in at ages 23, 27, and 28, respectively. Will you be the one to get this franchise its first taste of postseason play and boost its "Franchise Temperature" up from the current mark of 40.5*F (4.7*C)?
  • Former NY Necromancers has even more financial flexibility with just six guys under contract next year and four of those on rookie deals. They also have back-to-back first-round picks at #15 and #16 thanks to a Comp D selection and the virtual ping-pong balls. The top three players by OVR are all either in arbitration or still on their rookie contracts, so this is a franchise that is ready to be molded to your vision of the future. The "Franchise Temperature" currently sits at a cool 48.7*F (9.3*C).
