Isnt it about time that we swap out the acronym POTUS and replace it with FUBAR.

About the east wing. If any other president even republicans did what he did to the east wing in the dead of night ignoring the sensitive step by step legal process and the acquisition of congressional permission there would be bipartisan talk of multiple federal crimes including destroying federal property and historical preservation property at that.

Actually I am miffed by the relative silence by Dems on this. It just shows the overwhelming attacks on our rights every day and now the focus rightfully so is the preservation of our voting rights and free elections. That is the real save act.

So how can the hole in the ground get filled up with a structure. If Trump had followed the law the process would take more than a year easily.

Something has to happen.
Maybe the arsonist will be allowed to rebuild the east wing by going through the process from scratch . Ironic if it happens.

Can the courts say you Trump are disqualified. It goes to the next prez. Then it becomes a campaign issue who will build the better east wing.

I was talking with some guys at the gym yesterday and they said that the Dems have nobody for 28 and AOC could not win. I said she could still move to the center if a center still exists for the dem party. ( there is no center in MAGA vile).

I did some research and when I am wrong I am wrong. In 2021 AOK called Israel an apartheid state and said an apartheid state ( by definition) is not a democracy. She has never retracted that statement and I consider it disqualifying. She has also said that Israel committed genocide. Also disqualifying as stated. For a lot of people regardless of ethnicity.

I have to admit I got drawn in by her charisma but she will never get my vote now. She would have to definitively retract those statements and I don’t see that happening. I would vote for Rubio over her. I cannot say she is unelectable in a general because this country thanks to Trump is metastasizing hate from MAGA to a new sickening dem party which is responding to MAGA with its own hate and fringe thinking. Maybe they are taking root pray to god they are not but we don’t know yet how strong they are getting. I think the center will hold but all bets are off.

Who knows yet whether the Cori Bush shellacking is a good sign or an aberration. We just don’t know yet. Not enough data.

Many in the dem party ironically think that John Ossof could be in the mix. He is undoubtedly a stone cold genius and has loads of grit and charisma and he looks like a president but what kind of irony would that be. Is that a pipe dream.??? You would think. He and Andy Bashear are both in the mix. The party is getting crazy. The country is nuts.

Gavin Newsome is an opportunist and ingenuous.
Bernie Sanders is a little devil. Despicable he turns out to be.
Senator Corey Booker is out there and hardly ever discussed. He would be phenomenal!!! He wasn’t ready before but he is now.!!

No more matchmaking man/woman teams unless it is a natural thing. No more black/ white unless it is a natural thing. Just the 2 best fitting candidate but if Booker is the nominee the Vp cannot be black. That is obvious in these United States. But the vp does not have to be a woman.

And that is all I have to say about that.

Booker is a redlight seeker. LOVES to prattle on for any member of the media. He's far worse than either Rubio or AOC.

I'd never ever vote for a ticket that included him.

I think he is a very genuine person who is just naturally gregarious and a happy soul but he is at the same time tough and committed . He is also very grounded and balanced and a genuine centrist. He isn’t trying to be who he thinks others want him to be. There is nothing forced or fake.

I also like his intellect his leadership his judgement and he has bona fide bipartisan chops.

I dont know what a redlight seeker is. I am a reformed redliner.

I never handicapped the candidates. I’m talking about character and competence. If you think poorly of Booker as a person you are certainly entitled to that opinion. I do not think that any Republican in congress or Trump’s cabinet has the character I look for in a representative. And plenty of Dems lack the character as well but not every dem.

In WI it was narrow but the centrist beat the SD candidate in the dem primary for Governor.
Great news for normal people still winning against fringe often hateful people. Be pro center.

The SD movement is the Democratic Party equivalent of MAGA. Not as crazy but still way plenty of crazy and plenty of hate.

Jon Ossoff is running an interesting and maybe a brilliant race for senator in Georgia. He is running against the MAGA candidate but at the same time he is throwing hand grenades and artillery fire at Trump.

It might be forgotten but in 2020 when Biden was still Biden he took it to Trump and humiliated him at every opportunity. That is what Ossoff is doing.

Maybe he plans to run if he is first elected senator but re that race he is energizing his base. Trump’s infantile name calling is going to get lazy dem voters to take up the fight and exercise the franchise. Independents will get motivated too. And even some old S kickers could wake up and join Ossoff’s army. Because they like aggression.

This is part of the politics I love to follow. Bare fisted brawling. Ossoff is fighting 2 opponents in the cage match. And beating both of them. He is pummeling Trump into a coma. It is a very pleasant thing to watch.
