World Long Haul R Us has rolled, and we have two available franchises, both in the AL (which shouldn't matter anymore, as our owners voted in favor of the Universal DH, starting this season.) Send me a sitemail if you're interested in either of these opportunities.
The teams available are:
San Juan (AL South) - the previous owner doesn't appear to be returning, which opens up a great rebuild opportunity. The past 5 seasons under this owner have seen 91, 67, 59, 56, and 50 wins, in order. So the franchise should have some good minor league prospects due to all their recent high draft picks. There will be NO penalty for a new owner even though the franchise missed the MWR last season, as we don't punish new owners for things they couldn't have controlled.
This team will be drafting #2 overall this season.

Minnesota (AL North) - ScottInChica was nice enough to take this team over as a replacement last season, after there was an issue with the original owner early in the season. He did a commendable job of righting the ship and keeping them respectable. Still however, they did finish 62-100, after a 59-103 finish the season prior. Like the San Juan team, this means there should be decent prospects in the minor leagues already, and you'll be drafting high again this year. This team will be drafting #4 overall this season.
