Yes they can be - any year is fine!

I know some owners have site mailed me this question about them picking 4 players from their "franchise's history". Yes, players can be from anywhere in their history (Example: New York Yankees/Highlanders, Boston Red Sox/Americans, Los Angeles Dodgers/ Brooklyn Robins/Dodgers, etc.). Any year is fine (can be from before 1940). you can find your franchise's history online if you need it (or just ask me). Just wanted to clear that up for everyone before we start.
