If you read the letters of Southern soldiers no one mentions fighting for slavery. For them this is a fight between the noble South and the Bastard North.

Slavery was one of the issues that brought us to war, and the War freed the slaves, it just wasnt the reason the war started.

Think of WWII and the Holocaust. We didnt get in to save the Jewish People, but our winning the war did save millions of Jewish people.

Swamp asserts, the white man owned the land the natives had been occupying during their people's history... and therefore it was legal and justified to kick them off the "white man's" land. This is because the Europeans invented contracts (in North America).

Indians were mostly migratory. They had no concept of land ownership. Everyone should just be able to walk around anywhere.

Land ownership was one of the advancements of society that allowed progress. We had title to the land. They fought and lost.

How about my idea to eliminate the military branchs to make the US military more efficient.

Or my idea to abolish the Secretary on Education and privatize education.

But Southern women were into anal so it pretty much balanced out.

The Civil War, at its core, was absolutely about slavery. Of other issues Southern revisionist like to purport, the major ones stemmed from slavery and others were too minor to cause a war. You can say, for instance, it was about states's rights but states's rights was only a major issue because of slavery. To invoke WW2 and the Holocaust is a non sequitor. Gee, think of WW1 and the assasination of Franz Ferdinand. The Civil War was obviously about the death of an archduke.

Indians simply had a different philosophy than Europeans. They did not believe everyone should be allowed to walk around everywhere, tribes definitely had their territories which they defended. The beauty of this one is there is actually a smarter defense of the white man's land grab that seems to elude the all-knowing mind of swamp.

Another swamp laugh-festi how he dismisses out-of-hand any facts that contradict his position as contrivances of the leftist media.

Why was it about slavery? The Supreme Court allowed slavery. Nothing was really changing.

Again I want to stress that it was a great thing that slavery ended. The war brought that on. It isnt revisionist to look at data.

All the writings of the time do not show that the war was about slavery.
