Topps policy on player cards Topic

Interesting article here on how Tommy John's famous elbow surgery in 1974 forced Topps to break their usual rule of only printing cards of active, healthy players.

I had no idea there was no 1966 Sandy Koufax card. The Cy Young winner, and league leader in Wins, ERA, IP, K's, CG and SHO. Pretty stupid policy! Glad they changed it.

"believe it or not"...it's card #100 in the 1966 Topps set

Sorry, I meant there's no card for Sandy Koufax's 1966 season, which would be a 1967 card.

The 1966 Koufax card represents his 1965 season.

I see, I had not thought you meant a 1967 Sandy Koufax card since he did retire in November 1966....that may be why Topps didn't do a 1967 card
