An off the wall question but how are people using their color codes.

I use them to track prospects, which I think is pretty common. I'm always surprised to hear what other people do with them. They were a really good, simple addition to the game back when they would actually modify the game on the regular.

For me, it's really just to help manage prospects particularly during the season (for quick promos to deal with injuries) or cutting at the end of the season.

Green = solid ML caliber
Yellow = potential ML caliber
Red = cut at first chance/when I remember (only used it I need someone to eat innings and I am tight on budget)
Blue = solid MiLB player
Purple = keep for the memes (real examples: went to my alma mater, drafted out of a juvenile delinquency penitentiary, funny names like Benito Juarez)
Black = DiTR while I'm still waiting for their growth curve to flatten and know whether to make them blue/yellow/green
Orange = marginal LoA/Rookie player who can eat innings, but should be cut when possible to save $

Haha alas, we are not related, as my genes completely lack the ability to grow a solid stache like that!
