WE ARE READY TO DRAFT AS SOON AS THIS TEAM FILLS.
The Alexander Joy Patrick League started in 1885 when MLB began. I have been commissioner since 1900. We are entering the 1953 season and want you to own the Boston Braves featuring STAN MUSIAL among others. They will draft 7th in the National League.
That last sentence points us at the most significant difference between this league and other progressives. We have separate National Leage and American League drafts. This rule is effective in that every team has a legitimate chance of having a full roster of MLB players. That means every player is available to both leagues thus the full rosters and the possibility that many players are found in both leagues....2 Mantles, Spahans, Mays' and Littlefields are examples.
Other rules that are somewhat different from some progressives. There is a hard 120 million dollar cap. There are no inter-league trades, no use of WW or AAA players. Plalyers can play out of position, but the original roster must consist of a player at every position (full roster of at least 8 pitchers, and 13 position players). We have a single drop add option per team at the timed draft slots conclusion. The league champs pick last in their respective drafts and the other division's champ picks second to last (regardless of finishing record). A team cannot have the 1st overall pick in their draft more than 2 years consecutively.
The available team is The Boston Braves. Their 1952 record was 85-77. Braves have an extra 3rd round pick via past trade..
The 1952 roster follows. Per norm, you will have to select which players to keep and which to cut. There are no players on IR.
