Well today would have been my third day to get him on my roster and the draft 5 logo by his name just went from green to blue.

Not sure what that means but I still can’t assign him today. I noticed he’s no longer on the wavier wire. I guess we’ll see what happens tomorrow.

There's nothing in League Transactions that indicate he was ever declined as a rule 5 pick,

so my best guess is that the accept / decline option went back to one of those teams and that's why he's on the waivers. If they decline / he clears then he's yours. Weird one.

I have drafted a Rule 5 players many times. I always made sure that the ML roster had an empty slot.

True. I should have been given 72 hours to add him to the ML roster. I was only given 24.

ruffdog, might be the way the rule 5 pick stuff is done? Since the player is not on the ML roster and needs to be on it otherwise is offered back to the original owner, that he won't clear waivers...

I claimed a Rule 5 draftee off of waivers on the 23rd. My message said I had 72 hours to put him on my roster or he would be offered back to his drafted team. I had to wait 24 hours to clear room for...
