Here's your chances to ask questions about Clutch Dynasty that aren't answered in the FAQ. Not to mention details on what to expect in season 2.

Any way to incorporate a car number for each team into the sim? (Phnxsports - All-Star - 7:07 PM)

This has been something that alot of people have wanted. So eventually yes. There is a way to incorporate it. However the difficulty comes into play when making the number worth while (i.e. unique). To do this we would need to arrange some kind of number lottery or a first come first served system. In addition to that we would need to have a system in place to change numbers when teams move up a level or leave the game. So numbers are coming... just not anytime soon.

jaywat are we going to see pit stops be factored in for season 2 during the races. My CC I picked had a high pit speed and pit skill, but right now they are just a wasted rating since there is no race pit stops (krs96 - Hall of Famer - 7:09 PM)

Season 2 there will be many engine tweaks. There will most likely be some tweaking done with in race tire wear (thus creating more pit stops). Also those stats ARE NOT wasted. Your pit crew is the same bunch of guys that are helping you build and repair. So, those stats go into building times/quality.

Hi Jay. Have a question about the starting values for the cars engine/frame/body. Are these values random? Or.. are they a fixed value depending on the car selected? Or.. does the crew chief values also play a part in the initial values of these car parts? (lenihan - Hall of Famer - 7:28 PM)

The starting values for the cars are based on your crew chiefs attributes (including the pit crew numbers) and the car type.

Hi Jay again.. With Season two coming onto us soon.. Will there be another recruiting period for a new driver and crew chief before season 2 starts for existing teams? And, if so., will we be able to repair/build are existing parts while that period is going on if we've signed our crew chief longer than 1 year contract? (lenihan - Hall of Famer - 7:31 PM)

Yes there will be another recruiting period. Although, next season there will be ramifications for ending contracts early. (This is one of the things that is coming into effect for "Season 2: Season of Restrictions.") During the off season all of your parts will be repaired. Then you have the same amount of time to so schedule pre season practices and build/overhual parts as well.

Since the crew chiefs have not improved at all during season one, are you going to have some kind of special off season adjustsments done? And 2, in the case of drivers when are we going to see improvements in experiance, work ethic and the such. Is that something that happens during the off season too? (cyoress1 - Hall of Famer - 7:32 PM)

I don't have any special off season adjustment planned for crew chiefs. Season 2 will have a marked during season improvement compared to this season. The additional money world 1 and 2 have recieved should be able to buy rating points. Drivers have had an experience improvement over this season. It is ofcourse very small. Things in CRD will gain very slowly compared to GD/HD. For example 100 experience would be equivalent to a Richard Petty who raced for 34 years. Additionally, the experience is based upon seat time. The elite level races are very short compared to the upper levels. So the seasonal gain in experience was calibrated such that a fresh guy at the Cup level wouldn't improve too quickly. It should be noted that some things like work ethic and reaction will be modified during the off season.

Sorry.. another question about the race settings.. There is Heavy Handling, Mild Handing , Light Handling, but then Heavy, Mild, and Light Speed. Wouldn't selecting Light Speed mean also some higher level of Handling compared to choosing Heavy Speed? What would the difference between Heavy Handling, and Light Speed be? (lenihan - Hall of Famer - 7:38 PM)

Yes selecting light speed offers more handling compared to heavy speed. The drop down is intended to be like a slider with all handling on one end and all speed on the other. So with each step (lets say to all handling) you would be sacrificing your car being able to reach top speed for being able to take the turns better.

Why in baseball there are no stats (ERA for Pitchers and Avg for Hitters) that shows LH Hitters avg vs LH or RH Pitchers and Pitchers ERA against LH or RH Hitters. It only show overall not a breakdown. (ethorne - Hall of Famer - 7:39 PM)

I was driving too fast to notice the difference. : /

What ratings do the general settings use? I'd like to be able to mess around with advanced settings, but have no idea what "light speed" translates to in terms of camber, cross weight, etc. (jamescarman - Rookie - 7:43 PM)

Inside the engine the general settings are converted to advanced settings. So it will look at your general setting of "All Handling" and then set the amount of crossweight that would give your car the maximum amount of crossweight. It goes through this for all of the advanced settings. It also has the smarts not to set the camber to max allowable on road courses.

Can you post somewhere what the different types of cars are and what the advantages of each one are? (davesanchez - Hall of Famer - 7:44 PM)

Can you post somewhere what the different types of cars are and what the advantages of each one are? (davesanchez) Yes. I can add that to the FAQ.

what can we look for as far as high dollar upgrades either garage or crew go? (davesanchez - Hall of Famer - 7:50 PM)

Well, in "Season 2: Season of restrictions" you can look forward to having to build seperate shops to house surplus parts. (As you and your lead investors wives are plum sick of parts all over the place. :) So you may have to drop 20-30 k for an addition. If you want to do more than 2 practices a day you will need to buy an upgraded hauler. I would also look for more chained additions. Through chained additions your team will be able to specialize in building frames/engines/bodies. This will make it much more intresting when we work in being able to sell surplus parts for a profit. ;)

Saving settings for individual practices and races??? coming soon I hope..... (davesanchez - Hall of Famer - 7:51 PM)

Yes, being able to set practice settings per practice, and save those is on the list of upgrades for season 2.

I have just one more. I know you said earlier that in the future we will have to option to skip a race if we choose to. Do you anticipate this for season 2 or is it still in the works for down the road (krs96 - Hall of Famer - 7:56 PM)

Hrmn. If I can fit it in I will. My season 2 plans are fairly ambitious. It may not be that hard to add in since CRD was initially built with that being part of the game.

what can we expect as far as upgrades go for next season in either the garage or crew?.... (davesanchez - Hall of Famer - 8:06 PM)

The crew additions that have been waiting in the wings since about day two are: Welch's passing with the pros camp Drafting dynamics for new drivers Keeping back the pack: A seminar by S. Eble Corp. Personal Trainer Lady Bessire's charisma enhancement. WisCar engine essentials by Boon Inc. The ins and outs of frame building by Boon Inc. Using the wind presented by Boon Inc. T. Kamil leadership principles seminar Pit crew concepts for max performance workshop Those are in addition to the barrier breaking additions that I mentioned in an earlier question. We will also be looking to add better tools/shop equipment and seminars/workshops above the beginner level.

just thought of another question. is there going to be reward points given in CRD like HD and GD with the chance to purchase additional seasons with reward points (krs96 - Hall of Famer - 8:08 PM)

Yep. I am not sure what the exact breakdowns will be though.

to take the general settings question from jamescarman a little farther....is there any way we can see what the settings are like when we choose "light speed as compared to "heavy handling"? (davesanchez - Hall of Famer - 8:10 PM)

No. Perhaps I will be able to get that in when saved settings are added. I would like to keep it in the engine since it isn't always a straight translation.

If we didn't get to your question, we apologize. Thanks for taking the time to chat with us and thanks for supporting WhatIfSports!
