#18 PG, #85 Overall, ****; JuCo Jr.,
no promises. Escudero will be backing up Hoffman this year, and may improve enough to step in as the starter at SG next year, though who knows with the new engine how quickly he will improve. Personally, I think that the shift to making guys improve more slowly will be to the detriment of the game. Anyways, under the recent system, Escudero would be a high-quality signing for a team like the Spartans who need warm bodies that will leave in a staggered manner. Hopefully he can hold his own, and improve, in his two years on campus.
