This was a good win - Memphis will dominate the C-USA this year.  Terry Parker happens to be the nation's leading scorer, and we held him to around his average.

It's unsurprising that we would dominate the boards against a team that's starting three guards and a small forward.  Texas Southern will do very well in its own conference, though, and look great on my resume as the year moves forward.

Coach, just wanted to say that the athletic department is buzzing after your start to the season. I'm trying to keep everyone's expectations in line, but I've got to tell you, all the talk of a conference championship is pretty hard to ignore. Plus, being ranked is hard to overlook!

Yeah we definitely reloaded.  I think we might even have a chance to win a second consecutive NT, but we'll see.

This was a surprisingly lopsided game.  I think this was the first time all year that Freund didn't lead the Spartans in scoring.  Still a great game from him, and from Whitesides.

We had a huge edge in rebounding, and our assist to turnover ratio was ridiculously good in this game.

No surprise here, we were favored by 39.  This win was almost exactly average for us this year - the only real difference was we sank an unusually high percentage of FTs.

This was our first game against a ranked team since we took down Michigan.  Illinois is a little short-staffed after losing all of their recruits during recruiting (including Nicholas Rosen, who helped fill in for a foul-plagued Paul Whitesides).

This win may not be a surprise but I do enjoy the scale of it.  Kincannon has been progressing well throughout this season, in terms of his position skills, and here he has a career day.  I hope that Freund stays with us another season but doubt that will happen.  Worst case scenario, we now have a player who is ready for the responsibilities of a starting PG, ready to step in (though he can never truly be a replacement for a talent like Freund).
