#8 SG, #45 overall, ****; no promises. I did try to promise 15 minutes to Robert Simpson, early in the recruiting process, but he declined. The only weakness I see in Simpson's game, long-term, is with ballhandling. That should get better pretty steadily, though. His speed, athleticism, and stamina will skyrocket together. I like that he has potential in rebounding, even if it isn't high. I like that he'll shoot FTs well. I love his defense. His perimeter game and passing are already good. Basically, at the moment he's a spot-up shooter. In the future, he'll be able to create his own shot. A great signing, I think, and a very likely draft pick
Simpson had a fairly decent career. He won't be a draft pick, and he didn't stay in the starting lineup.

#6 PF, #20 overall, *****; ineligible. I really hope that Christopher Bruce shows up. I put in a fair amount of effort on him, but considering that he's coming from some 480 miles away or so, it couldn't be too much. He's a nice player. A really good one, actually. Obviously his development would be deferred for a year, but I really, really like what I see here. We'll have a deep frontcourt, regardless, but I'd prefer to have Bruce around, because I think he's one of the best ineligibles I've seen, definitely in the potential era
I'm hoping that Bruce comes back as a 5th year senior. He didn't exactly produce like a pro, but he's got the ratings to be a pretty high draft pick. Early entries have already declared, but I don't know how it works, exactly. That high potential in passing turned out to be absurdly high.

#7 C, #32 overall, ****; no promises. Solid but nothing special, Sheldon Dixon looks like a bench player who might make the starting lineup as a center, with time. I'm not crazy about his low potential on defense. He was a local guy, though, and I figured I'd take a flier on him. He's a pure center, plain and simple. I do wish he had better defense
Sheldon Dixon was arguably this season's star. Considering that the team underperformed all year, that's a dubious honor. He did develop as well as could be expected. A pure center...he would've been much better if he'd had more speed and defense. Again, though, he wasn't a disappointment, and he came to campus pretty cheaply.

Considering that this graduating class was the #4 recruiting class of its season, it really didn't work out.

#28 SF, #226 overall, **; no promises. I didn't scout Virginia, so I can't attest to McLean's potential. I had my initial SF target picked up by Ohio State, so I went and took on an undecided guy from a ways off. I had to fight Davidson off a little. Hopefully he'll work out. His ratings aren't bad right now, so I think he can at least serve as a backup.
I almost forgot to post McLean. He turned into a good offensive reserve. His defense kept him on the bench, though.

Sheldon Dixon was drafted 17th overall.

The team loses some good players, but 6 of the 7 who are back are all real threats on the floor, and the other is a perfectly reasonable backup. The team is 3 deep at guard and big man, and has a good SF. I think they're capable of reaching the postseason and possibly doing some damage. Things obviously have to click, though.

The team needs a guard, a big, and a small forward. Personally, I like for my teams to have 5 bigs, to deal with fouls. Also, Hodges could be easily replaced by a good freshman SG. We'll see what the current coach does.

#5 SF, #60 Overall, ****; no promises. Gary Peterkin is a nice SF prospect. It's hard to find particularly decent SFs, lately. Well, Peterson will be another role-player...at best, he could be a particularly mobile big man, playing the 3 spot, with a decent repetoire away from the basket. I haven't seen many better SF prospects in the potential era, but he can be counted on for good defense and rebounding, and that's all that's really necessary from the spot.

#9 C, #56 Overall, ****, JuCo Jr.; no promises. Jackie Humphrey is a perfectly decent role player and space filler at the C spot. He'll be a depth guy. The only downside is that if there are no junior entries into the draft, there will be a graduating class of 6, the year after. I like big men with good FT shooting.

#6 PF, #10 Overall, *****; guaranteed 10 minutes. I'll probably get used to writing that name after a while, but Edwin Skrzypinski, Mr. Michigan, is the star of the class. He has no areas of weakness - bottoming out at mediocrity in a few parts. He should be good on offense, defense, and rebounding, and not awful at FT shooting and passing. Really, a very nice prospect. If he doesn't make the pros, I'll be quite surprised.
