Turnovers and poor shooting. The same recipe for disaster. I'm not sure what can be done with this team. They're very inconsistent.

While this is a nice, solid win and a good offensive performance, it doesn't make sense to me to see our starters get out-rebounded.

Hey, a win is a win. MSU trailed by 5 at the half and then outperformed Miami. Other than a last second three, this was actually a 5 point win (which would have been a 7 point win if Wilkey hadn't missed on the front end of a one-and-one, and then sank the second shot).

Still too many turnovers, but I don't think that's changing this year. I expected more of a rebounding edge out of this team, though.

I'd like the loss against Wichita State back, for sure. Cal and Florida are okay, I guess. Georgia is understandable, too. The team isn't clicking at the moment, but I guess they've won enough to contend for the NT. We'll see how conference play goes.

Huh. Minnesota was the #1 RPI team before this. Just as puzzling as the last game, but this time in a good way.

Any loss is a big loss, because the team needs wins. Next year's non-conference will be less challenging than this year's was.

Mid-term grades just came out. I've attached the report to this email (should be below, but you know how I hate computers so I'm not sure if I did it right).

I highlighted anybody I thought may be a problem. Looks like there's one that needs some extra study hall time:

I guess it's fair to assume that the NT bid is safely in the hands of the Spartans at this point.

I think the team will make it, but they're backing in at this point.

Second CT game, again an ugly win. At least the team's defense is good. Anyways, tonight against Notre Dame for the CT championship. The Spartans must be favored.

The Spartans finish off the year strong, and are set for a possible NT run. Great to have another CT Championship.

RPI 25, SOS 37, ranked 24th (obviously that won't last if the team doesn't make the Sweet Sixteen)

Coach, just wanted to formally congratulate you on getting us into the National Tournament! I was a little surprised though when I saw us come up as a #5 seed. I really thought we'd get a higher seed than a #5 - but I'm certainly not complaining!

Best of Luck - Make us Proud!
