Glenn Beck hates the 1st and 2nd Amendments:

What can I NOT bring?
As a security precaution, the following items will be prohibited from the event sites:

• NO signs (political or otherwise) as they may deter from the peaceful message we are bringing to Washington.
• Firearms (either real or simulated)

You left out helium ballons, aerosol sprayers and alcohol.

That was certainly an element of Obama's success, yeah. But he still had to prove himself to some extent on the trail - and as you said, he ran a great campaign. The Rev. Wright thing alone would have torpedoed a lot of candidates, and instead he handled it about as well as it could be handled.

Hell, maybe Paul will turn out to run a campaign just as good. Frankly, purely from an entertainment value perspective, I think he's be a good replacement for Bunning. Conway will just be another boring Blue Dog Dem. But so far, Paul hasn't been impressive to me at all as a campaigner.

You're right, he hates the 21st Amendment too.

I think you are confusing success with planning. He ran a horrible campaign. The nation was hostile to Bush, and he should have won by more.

He just let whatever happens happen. Wright, Ayers and all the other mini scandals.

And the primary was another unpopular person. Hillary had huge negatives. She could beat Bush, but not anyone else. All Obama did well was run the caucus states right, and he still almost lost.

He Won in a very similar way to Bush, people liked him.

Seriously, isn't there a "stupid **** that Swamp says" thread out there somewhere?  That line should be in it.

The point is, and I will speak slow since you seem to lack basic understanding, is that you can win without trying. If the NBA all stars were taking on the Wayne State University basketball team and didnt practice and just made up plays on the fly they would still win.

The Dems were almost assured of winning this one. Obama made it interesting.

So are you admitting that Bush was as big an A..Hole as we have been claiming? Why else what a Dem victory be so certain?
8/22/2010 2:47 PM
No I do not admit that.

I do admit that America had turned against the man. We could debate why at another time!

It's a damn shame we don't have one.

#1 would still be:  My analogies are awesome.  A woman once slept with me because I compared the fall of the Roman Empire to Soviet Russia.
Oh, but there is such a thread...

I appreciate that wonderful memory.

SHOCKER.....Corporation with history of multiple violations, puts public health at risk.  I know, I know, how can this be?  Maybe if we would further deregulate these companies, they wouldn't have to put our health at risk in the name of profit.

A supplier in egg recall has history of violations

WASHINGTON — Two Iowa farms that together recalled more than half a billion potentially tainted eggs this month share close ties, including suppliers of chickens and feed.

Both farms are linked to businessman Austin "Jack" DeCoster, who has been cited for numerous health, safety and employment violations over the years. DeCoster owns Wright County Egg, the original farm that recalled 380 million eggs Aug. 13 after they were linked to more than 1,000 reported cases of salmonella poisoning.

1 There are so many government regulations every company everywhere has been cited at one time or another.

2 When you are feeding 6.5 billion people this is going to happen sometimes. In order to give people the $1 a dozen eggs they want and to allow McDonalds to have a $1 breakfast menu they have to buy feed cheap, so the cheap farms will sell to everyone. So one bad batch carries a long way.

3 I want everyone to follow this...380 million eggs are being recalled because 1000 people got salmonella. This is protection, not some massive epidemic. They are protecting us, not cleaning up after a disaster.

Of course every radio station is playing stories about people who raise eggs in their backyard and Pam Anderson is screaming how bad we treat chickens.
