Anyone getting bored with the lack of changes? Topic

I think Fox Sports purchased Whatif simply to run it into the ground and diminish competition for their products.

The extra 10% each player is allowed before fatigue starts kicking in.

I think they've forgotten about us, a simple update with salary restructure would do it. How often do you see Caruthers anymore in OL's?

Just FYI.. I was just throwing out suggestions that would shake it up...

I'm up for most anything that would make me re-think strategies.  Fatigue is the obvious flaw in the system, play in a low cap and you'll see how little it affects players.

But, really... anything to shake up the site.

Any sightings of tzentmeyer in the last 6 months?  He seemed to be the only guy running the shop.

I haven't played in any MLB leagues since the major revision promised over two years ago failed to materialize. I think this thread reflects a lot of unhappiness on the part of long time customers of WIS. Like many who have posted here I find the silence less than reassuring. It feels like the WIS product is just an afterthought with Fox, which I'm sure it is.

I have two suggestions that would dramatically change the game closer to RL.  One is a lot easier than the other.

First, if a runner is not held on 1B, his chances to steal have to go way up.  For Example, a Tim Raines 50/55 in SB is probably automatic if not held on.  I have seen too many times where strong arm catchers have good success against great base stealer who are not held on.  We all know anyone with decent speed not held on is going to steal 2B a large %.

Second, the BBs in this game continue to be a joke.  My understanding is the rules engine evaluates the batter first to see the hit/out.  In my opinion only, the #1 determinant of BBs is the pitchers ability to throw strikes.  NOT the batters eye.  Barry Bonds is a joke.  A large % of those BBs in RL were because no one hit behind him and pitchers IBB or pitched around.  If Babe Ruth were hitting behind Bonds, his walk total would have been much less.  Probably a hard fix.

I would like someone to tell me about this winning strategy.  I have been playing for years and all I can do is lose.

all I can say if you change things dont ruin it!  I have seen some real CF changes in my decade here. I stopped playing for a time when you couldnt compete with a SB team that had Vince Coleman in the 3 hole slot.   Anybody remember when you could buy a 300 inning Bob Feller for less than 1 million?
