Wow, it looks like big_dowg winning his final game 6-1 while gwhouse losing his final game 7-1 was just enough to switch who goes onto Round 2 from exp. winning percentage.

Without doing some fancy correlation stats, it’s clear the cookie score matters.
The 12 highest cookie score teams have 9 teams advancing and average 88.3 wins so far. This, of course, is highlighted by d_rock97’s highest cookie score and his .730+ winning percentage.
The lowest 12 cookie teams average 76.4 wins and only have 4 teams advancing.

If I knew I was so close to a 4 cookie score, I would’ve taken a Vizquel or Rollins instead of this Maury Wills that didn’t do much

Very impressive. Will be interesting to see how he does vs. the best 24 teams. Even if he somehow wins 100+ games in round 2, we all know how 100-win teams fare in the playoffs.

well, d_rock's 100++ team didn't fall to the playoff jinx. He dispatched my team in 3 games without our putting up much of a fight. Juggernaut.

justinlee_24 won the World Series over d_rock97, 4 games to 3. He won game #7 by scoring 3 in the 8th and then tying it with 3 runs in the 9th (all coming with 2 outs). He won in 12 innings, 9-8. It's a pretty sick way to lose, yet most of us long-time sim veterans know exactly what that feels like.
