There should be separate position ratings for offensive & defensive. Obviously. The position ratings as they could be more accurate, but regardless... I'll use Dennis Rodman as an example. From 88-91 Rodman was a top defender in the NBA vs big Guards such as Michael Jordan & Magic Johnson. He, not Dumars or anyone else, guarded MJ in crunch time.. AND he did it better than anyone else in the league.. But Rodman is rated at 90% or lower at SG for those seasons... If the ratings were accurate, he'd be rated even lower than that on offense at SG, but 97% or better on D. He should even be able to guard slower PGs like Magic with near 100% effectiveness.
