#8 SF, #71 Overall, *****; promised the start, promised 20 minutes. James Freeman has a few weak spots but he's a very good player, all the same. I don't like his FT rating at all and his ballhandling leaves a lot to be desired. Still, he's got great speed and athleticism, and he'll make steady progress throughout his career in everything but FT shooting. I think I'm not going to have him practice shooting from the line - there's just too little to gain from it, and in my experience, there aren't different gradations of F. He'll be coming in either as an F or a D-. Not worth the effort to improve that, and it wouldn't improve much. He could become a very good rebounding small forward. He knows the Triangle, but I don't know what defense his high school team ran. I'm fairly certain he'll make the NBA, but it's hard to predict with SFs.
James Freeman had one weakness - FT shooting - otherwise, he grew into a dynamic and exciting starting SF in the Big Ten. Good almost everywhere, excellent in speed, athleticism, rebounding, scoring from inside and outside, and a great press defender. I will miss him.

#13 SG, #73 Overall, *****; promised the start, promised 25 minutes. Floyd Weaver was absolutely necessary to make my class complete. I might have overspent a little on him, in fighting with Indiana. Actually, I must have, because he signed fairly early. I have no idea how much Indiana put in to the guy. His defense isn't great, but otherwise he's everything I could want as I transition the team from Man to Press. He ran Flex/Press in high school. I am positively thrilled to have him
Floyd Weaver has been great both on offense and defense, the latter of which I find somewhat surprising. He has produced very well from his sophomore year on, and was practically unstoppable this year. With that said, again, we had very well rounded scoring this year - which was great for the team but doesn't look as impressive when examining individual players and their legacies. The legacy for all of my departing seniors is the Final Four berth. Just four seasons after going 3-24, we went to the Final Four, and not as a fluke, as a 1 seed.

All four seniors got drafted and my prestige got bumped by that from A to A+. I'm very, very pleased, particularly that Jimmy Brown got taken.

#8 PG, #48 overall, *****; no promises. Maybe Patrick Benton will make things easy on me and redshirt. He's a great player, but I won't need his services for another two seasons. Strengths: defense, ballhandling. Long-term strengths: perimeter, passing, speed. Weaknesses: rebounding, athleticism (to some degree), FT shooting. I'm happy to have him, but the main reason I targeted him was because he's a local and I could use a depth PG for the graduation of Osowski and Boulay. I don't think he'll be an NBA player, mostly because of the lack of rebounding and athleticism.

#18 SG, #163 overall, ****; no promises. Robert Conant is an excellent long-term prospect...at least if you take his utter lack of rebounding for his position as a necessary evil. I had another guy on my radar, but Wisconsin took him and he was a long-distance dude so I didn't want the battle. Anyways, his short-term strengths are basically defense and, to some extent, FT shooting. Long-term strengths are speed and position skills. Weaknesses: pretty much rebounding and athleticism. I could've done better, but Conant isn't bad at all. He was a local and I got him away from Notre Dame with a minimal battle. Maybe I should've aimed higher but there weren't any international guys I liked and only the one Canadian that Wisconsin went after. I knew that would be a serious fight so I settled for something easy and good instead of hard and great.
