Yeah, that's not good. That was one of the few road games that Michigan State should have won. I'm thinking the team will be missing the NT again. How could Childs and that Polish guy declare when the team wasn't even in the NT last year? Ugh. How much better would this team be with two NBA players on it? Well, I'm pretty sure they'd be winning games like this without a problem.

A quality win against a ranked team, especially in a situation where every win is a critical step towards qualifying for the NT (since being a game under .500 renders a team disqualified).

I remain concerned that the Spartans will be going to the PIT due to their record instead of their RPI.

Oh, I must have missed posting a win. Anyways, the story is the same after going 1-1.

loss at Illinois; win at Notre Dame

RPI 35, SOS 3

Three of the next four games are very winnable. If the team wins those games, the NT should be a near certainty, even possibly with a first round exit from the CT.

Win versus Purdue.

This is a huge win. It helps the team's slowly slipping RPI and ensures that Michigan State cannot dip below .500 for the year, meaning that RPI will be the sole determinating factor of whether the team makes the NT.

I knew this team was better than people thought and we've definitely proved it over the last 3 games! I know the guys are tired, but tonight's the championship game. According to the latest RPI numbers, we're sitting at #28 - I think we *should* be a lock, win or lose, but hey, you hold fate in your hands...just one more game and we're dancing no matter what the committee thinks!

Again, congratulations and best of luck tonight,
