Is a smaller conf DI a bad idea? I am looking at a couple who have other coaches to help slightly in recruiting. Or should I just go to DII. I haven't recruited at a small DI with the new recruiting.

By bad idea I mean without having played the game recently or recruited at a smaller DI with the new recruiting

Not a bad idea but it can be a challenge with the low baseline prestige disadvantage. But it's MUCH easier than it used to be.

But it's pretty simple.

Do you think you will get ****** off and think it's a broken *** system if:
A) a player on your team that is not even on the Big Board randomly leaves early while the #1 player does NOT leave early
B) you lose multiple random dice rolls where you were a 75? chance to win the recruit

If so - then don't play D1.

With 4 scholarships, I get ~125 players to level 4 with just the FSS and asst. from my D3 team in NJ. It’s generally the D2 internationals, and D1 NY players, or a combo of some northeast states, like NJ, CT, and MA. It really is a plenty big pool. The farther out you get, the more top 100 players you get, which are pretty useless.

You are describing DI. You can't do that in DIII.

125 & 250?? Where are you getting these numbers? D3 recruiting options are a lot more vast than D1 with a lot less money.

How I’m getting these numbers.

Specifically, 125 and 250 are based on 4 scholarships. With 3, it’s more like 100 and 225. Roughly.
