With 4 scholarships, I get ~125 players to level 4 with just the FSS and asst. from my D3 team in NJ. It’s generally the D2 internationals, and D1 NY players, or a combo of some northeast states, like NJ, CT, and MA. It really is a plenty big pool. The farther out you get, the more top 100 players you get, which are pretty useless.

My apologies shoe, I never took the time to actually account for the total number players in my school’s “recruiting pool”. 125 seemed small due to the vast amount of potential possibilities for a D3 school (D1, D2 pools). I was preparing for knight’s RS2 and looking at the FSS map, I quickly realized that I typically consider less players than the 125 player benchmark that you set due to $$. Makes me shudder to think this, but does D3 success come down to mostly luck? Picking the most talented geographical area then wait & hope the best players trickle down into your limited pool?

Zags I just didn't understand how you thought you can get a giant pool at D3. Compared to other divisions. The plain and simple math doesn't make sense. Having less money equals having smaller pool, period. Assuming efficiency happens across the board.

No love lost. My whole argument with us is this..... I don't even know what bulls said anymore to make you attack. But think about the stuff you've said early in your career, that you can now look back on and know it's ridiculous! We've all done it. I know I have! I've said lots of stuff here, that if I read it now, I'd think "what was I thinkin then???". You play the game and you learn along the way. But why knock a new coach repeatedly, for saying something that a rookie tends to say? Ya know. Just chalk it up as "typical new guy".

For instance, his thread about fixing the down time. We all looked at that and probably said "Again?!" Because we've seen it all discussed before a thousand times. But a new guy might not have. New guys get excited. Hell I still do. I just won my second title, and it's posted everywhere all over this site now! People with 20 titles probably see it and wish I'd shut up! But they don't shred me for it.

Anyways, talk is cheap. But this game is not. So let's compete. Compete for those credits! Some of my HD guys are trying to build a conference, come join! We'll keep you posted

Topdog, no one was attacking anyone. He said that he is more accomplished than me and will win a NC before me. He’s right! I’ll be watching his run through the NT next season. I don’t know why that gets you so fired up.

I never said I'm more accomplished than you. I said we both have 0 NC, so we both have accomplished nothing. I never said I would win a NC before you, but I do believe that I will even though I just started a rebuild. I think I'll win one before you and I challenge you to join a conference with me so we'll see.

And i could be completely wrong on this zags, but didn't you say you've made 2 final fours? I thought you told me 1 of them but you couldn't find the other or something. (Its possible I'm mixing you up with someone else).

If that's you tho, that's an accomplishment. Measuring this game by titles alone is misleading. Sure the champs with tons of titles are elite elite coaches. But say for example a coach made the Final Four every season of his career but never won one. That's still success in my opinion. If not, my 2 Titles would rank me as like the 500th best coach. And I think i'm much better than that.

I’m in my first season and the team won 2 games, so this is a real rebuild. The F4 I got to was when my first recruiting class were juniors. I left star Hoops Dynasty – College Basketball Sim Games - George Stephenson - Ratings - Knight - Hoops Dynasty Basketball | WhatIfSports to go to a full conference and rebuild Eastbay. Give me 4 seasons so I can at least have juniors. I think that’s reasonable. Don’t tell me you won a “loaded conference” with only your freshman and sophomores, cmon.
