Trout comparison doesn’t hold water though. Trout was a 10 WAR/season guy who played CF and provided excellent baserunning. He did it all. Your guy was good, but a relatively one-dimensional slugger.

My first vote in what I feel like is a weak field went to Shirley... I'm almost never going to vote for a guy with a .306 OBP but Shirley's the exception.

Thuggis, I put much more value on a guys prime years than total numbers. I could care less home many homeruns a guy put up over 15-16 years when the numbers were good,
