1920: A busy year in baseball, Kenesaw Mountain Landis is appointed Commissioner of Baseball. Babe Ruth absolutely smashes the HR record, belting 54 and Ray Chapman is killed by an errant Carl Mays pitch... his Indians go on to win the World Series in his honour.
1985: A less eventful season, capped by the I-70 World Series pitting Kansas City against St. Louis - which saw the Cards squander a 3-1 series lead, to lose 11-0 in Game 7.
